Two storey gable extension (2016)
The proposal is to provide a new two storey gable extension to the original cottage, remove the existing glazed conservatory and to refurbish the original house. The design principles that have been established for this project have focused on giving order to a confused building, and restructuring the spaces to facilitate improved amenities. Framing the new extension a large ground floor bay window thrusts out into the rear garden.
The rooms were refurbished to a meticulous level of detail and finish, resulting in sophisticated utilitarian chic interiors. The project represents a continuation of the college’s commitment to preserving their buildings and enhancing the level of student accommodation.
