MCS - Cricket Pavilion
Hall and Sports Facility (2013)
Located on an island formed by the river Cherwell the existing cricket pavilion has graced School Field for the last century. Over the years the existing building has been rebuilt and refurbished a number of times and includes a brick extension to the rear. The proposal retains the existing pavilion and extends the changing rooms to the rear of the building.
The external appearance of the pavilion to the front is to be retained and enhanced with a refurbishment. The rear brick extension is to be screened by a trellis frame that links in with the veranda of the existing pavilion. The trellis screen is light weight and breaks down the mass of the existing and new rear extension.
