Upgrading the lighting to the main college entrance tunnel is part of the ongoing refurbishment of the Victorian accommodation buildings. The lighting accentuates the vaulting with wall and ceiling washes and acts as a beacon from within and outside the college. The space is broken by two carefully proportioned lanterns, hung as focal points along the length of the tunnel. The project provides an intimate and illuminating first introduction to the college.
The rooms were refurbished to a meticulous level of detail and finish, resulting in sophisticated utilitarian chic interiors. The project represents a continuation of the college’s commitment to preserving their buildings and enhancing the level of student accommodation.
