Our piece, Note to Architect, began with drawings by Ian Friend, inspired by Georges Spyridakis’ poetic idea of a house that breathes—expanding and contracting like vapour. We explored how that concept might come to life as a tapestry for Phoenix Central Park, following a journey through solid and void, light and shadow. The vertical warps anchor the work; the shifting weft allows moments of near-transparency. One side subtly reveals the hidden structure of the weave itself.
