Trinity College - Jackson Building
Decarbonisation

The Jackson Building (Staircases 5,6 and 7) is Trinity College’s first dedicated decarbonisation project comprising fabric upgrades and replacement of heating systems for the entire building with 22x180m ground source heat pump (GSHP) boreholes on the northern lawn, all within the context of listed buildings and gardens.

Due to the sensitivity of the site, the overriding intention is to ensure the architectural character and integrity of this high quality and historically intact environment is retained. Fabric upgrades to the Jackson building include secondary glazing, airtightness measures and new heat emitters.
